Albert Lourens
Albert Lourens obtained his BSc degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Pretoria in 1982 and founded Africost in 1984.
With more than 30 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Project Management and Property Development, Albert has played a central role in establishing Africost as a respected construction consultancy in South Africa.
His primary responsibilities include client relations, marketing, project feasibility studies and strategic business development. Throughout his career, Albert has been involved in numerous major landmark developments, including: • Jozini Tiger Lodge • The Pearls of Umhlanga • The Receiver of Revenue offices in Durban • Protea Hotel Gateway
His extensive industry knowledge and client-focused approach continue to support Africost’s growth and long-standing reputation for professional service.
Owen Nxumalo
Owen Nxumalo
Owen Nxumalo began his career at the Independent Development
Trust, where he developed extensive experience in Portfolio Management, Project
Management, Construction Management, Stakeholder Management and Community
Development.
He later managed multiple public-sector and infrastructure
portfolios covering:

Reggie Haripersad
Reggie Haripersad brings extensive technical and practical expertise to Africost, supported by qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Carpentry and Joinery.
As the head of company production, Reggie oversees the delivery and quality of Africost’s professional services.
His more than 30 years of construction industry experience ensure that the company’s qualified personnel are equipped to provide clients with accurate, efficient and dependable project support.
